PATH Foundation's High School Senior Giving program offered $25 per student to contribute funds to local nonprofits.
1,716 seniors from, Culpeper, Fauquier andA Rappahannock counties contributed $42,900.
The program provides a chance for students to explore their philanthropic interests and participate in civic engagement within their own community, the foundation says.
